JUNE WORSHIP SERIES 2021

SECOND SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
Readings: Galatians 5:19-23 and Gospel of Matthew 4:18-22
Message: Living and Growing in Grace – Living the Resurrection.
Today, our Worship, of course, is about God. There is a dimension where we can entirely focus on God and God in Jesus Christ, and we are renewed in the Holy Spirit to continue our discipleship living and grow up God’s grace. Are we accountable to one another? Are we living a cheap grace? Our lives as disciples of Jesus is a journey toward maturity in God, in Jesus Christ, who requires a lifetime of discipline and accountability.

THIRD SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
Readings: 2 Corinthians 5:6-17 and Gospel of Mark 4:26-34
Worship today is about growing into the new design that God calls us to be in Jesus Christ. We should think about expanding. Those raising kids find themselves telling stories about the latest thing, the latest mischief, the latest accomplishment that their child has gotten into trouble. We need stories to help us see how to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ. We tell our stories, and we tell stories of others as examples of a faithful life.

FOURTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
Readings: 2 Corinthians 6:1-13 and Gospel of Mark 4:35-41
Message: Caring about our relationship with God – Living the Resurrection.
Green is the color of hope. We hope to share God’s life and mission, living a journey full of holiness in the heart and actions. Faith, faith, and faith strengthen our obedience to Jesus to fulfill God’s will for each one of us. “Why are you afraid” is an invitation to share our life in Jesus in our pilgrimage toward God’s kingdom. We need to grow in “grace.” The meaning of “be a disciple” cannot be achieved with our strength. The Good news is that the Holy Spirit walks with us in our journey, which supplies our needs.

FIFTH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST
Readings: Romans 12:4-5, 1 Corinthians 12:27, 1 Corinthians 12:12, and the Gospel of John 17: 20-21
Message: We are the Church.
Some people may think that the Church lost its identity and reason to exist. What difference can the Church make? We are the Church, and we are rooted in God. We, the people, are called to participate in God’s life and mission to the world. Let us continue our revival movement to bring the Gospel to all and be an icon of light in our community of Caliente. Do we believe that we are the Church? Yes, we are the universal Church because our love is universal for all.
